These Terms of Service govern the use of this website and the purchase of Hartenwell products ("we", "our"). By placing an order or using the website, you accept these terms.
1. ELIGIBILITY
To place an order you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. By ordering, you confirm that the information provided is correct and that you are authorized to use the payment method given.
2. PRODUCTS AND INTENDED USE
The Hartenwell Gravity Water Filter Kit is a hollow-fiber water filter intended for filtering fresh water (tap water, rainwater, lake, river or stream water) for emergency preparedness and outdoor use. It is designed to reduce bacteria, parasites, microplastics and sediment.
It does not remove chemicals, fuel, pesticides, heavy metals, dissolved salts or viruses, and it does not make salt water drinkable. It is not a medical device.
Always follow the instructions supplied with the product and the instructions of your local authorities, including any boil-water notice. Do not let a wet filter freeze. Replace the filter if it is damaged.
3. PRICES, ORDERS AND AVAILABILITY
Prices are shown in US dollars (USD). Applicable taxes and shipping are shown at checkout before you pay. We may change prices, descriptions and availability at any time without notice; the price applied is the one in force at the time of the order. Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase: we may accept or refuse it, in whole or in part, including in the event of an unavailable product, a pricing or description error, or suspected fraud. If we refuse an order that has already been paid, we refund you in full.
We try to describe products accurately, but we do not guarantee that descriptions, images or other content are free of errors. Images are illustrative; packaging and colors may vary.
4. SHIPPING, RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Shipping times, delay notices and the right to cancel a delayed order are described in the Shipping Policy. The 90-day guarantee and the procedure for returns and refunds are described in the Refund Policy. Both form part of these terms.
5. PERMITTED USE
You agree not to use the website for unlawful purposes, not to attempt unauthorized access, not to interfere with its operation and not to copy or resell its content without our written consent.
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on the website (text, images, graphics, logos and the Hartenwell brand) is owned by Hartenwell or licensed to it and is protected by intellectual property laws. It may not be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without our written consent.
7. USER-SUBMITTED CONTENT
If you send us reviews, photos, comments or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce and display it as part of our business. You confirm that the content is yours and does not infringe third-party rights. We may remove any content at our discretion.
8. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES
The website may contain links to third-party websites or rely on third-party services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, policies or practices.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, Hartenwell is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the website or the products. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to you as a consumer by the law of the state where you live.
11. CHANGES
We may update these terms. The version in force at the time of purchase applies to each order. Changes take effect upon publication and we update the date above.
